Identity Design
The SAIC Architecture Lecture Series identity system celebrates the dynamic nature of architectural design while showcasing the work of several renowned architects. The design incorporates motifs such as lines and circles to reflect the fluidity, precision, and interplay of structure and creativity inherent in architecture. The sense of direction created by these shapes almost speaks to the motion of "building," conveying the evolving process and intentionality that defines architectural work. The result is a system that feels both surprising and unrestricted, yet remains controlled and cohesive, mirroring the essence of the architectural discipline.
ROLE
As the designer, I developed the visual identity system for the lecture series, focusing on conceptual motifs and promotional materials. Bringing the conceptual idea of architecture into an abstract form, I created a poster that effectively communicates the event details to the public. Establishing a clear typographic hierarchy was essential to ensure the information was well-organized and easily understood.
